Lene Marlin Pedersen was born on August 17th 1980 in Tromsø, in the far north of Norway. When she was a teenager she used to write, play and sing songs with her guitar. Lene's friends noticed her talent and tipped a local journalist; later a Lene's demo was chosen by Virgin Norway. At 17 Lene started writing her first album "Playing My Game", a massive worldwide success. Lene came back in 2003 with her second intimate work, "Another Day", and two years later, in 2005, her latest album "Lost in a Moment" was out. At present she lives in Oslo. [details on fansites]
Lene Marlin writes that kind of music that has the power of reaching people immediately, independently of their nationality or age. Because Lene Marlin’s songs spring from life and from its feelings. And though life is complicated, Lene’s songs are plain and catchy like the words of an old-time friend accompanying us along. They range from slow stirring lentos to uptempo and energic pop-rock ballads, each one revealing Lene's delicacy and intimate sensitivity made unique by her unquestioned talent as a songwriter.
